Ok, so I have to share about this program because I feel like there’s too much confusion and complication in the way most people look at it when they haven’t used this program yet.
Essential Rewards is Young Living’s optional auto-ship program for people who are ordering every month. You get a ton of extra rewards and freebies with it and if you’re wanting to see the benefits you signed up for when you joined Young Living (like better health, chemical free home, etc) then you need to be using the products and eliminating toxic chemicals from your home!!!!
That’s truly the only way to see these results!  And when you ARE doing that then you end up ordering monthly naturally. So it makes sense to get some extra benefits to help make your money go farther!!
First of all, I need to explain the difference between PV and $$$ amount. And it seems confusing at first but it makes sense when you understand that Young Living is a com…

Rejection HURTS!!!

So this week I was confronted with a couple different situations that were not altogether pleasant.

Both led to me feeling rejected....
And quite frankly... Rejection HURTS!!!
The questions that kept coming to my mind after dealing with these two different circumstances were,
1- How am I supposed to get over my hurt feelings?
And 2- what am I supposed to be learning from this, Lord???
We all know that God uses every situation we go through as a learning tool for us, right? We can always learn more about our spiritual well-being or lack thereof by the situations we walk through every day. Sometimes there are lessons we should’ve learned long ago and keep going through the same trials until we learn them and others are new and offer the next level of growth from situations that we are in.
I don’t know about you but I’m always trying to learn my lessons faster and faster. I was always the one that had to be beaten over the head multiple times to learn lessons as a youth and young adult so no…

What do I have to complain about??? I’ll tell you...

Wow! So I had an awesome epiphany today and just had to share it!!!
Ok it goes back a while, really, so I need to start my story around a year ago... ok maybe 3 and a half years ago. LOL
So, about 3 and a half years ago I had the privilege of going on a week long mission trip to an orphanage in Guatemala. It was actually my second week long trip to this same orphanage with my church. The orphanage is called Casa Shalom (House of Peace) and it is also known as “the place where my heart lives”. I could write forever about how amazing it is to serve these kids and the people of Guatemala. But that’s not really the point.
However, it is amazing and my heart was so at home there that I hated leaving. In fact, I hated it so much that I had to take every bit of my saving and go back on my own for a 6 week internship so I could just be there and serve longer. Those 6 weeks were life changing!!! I mean, EVERYTHING changed after that.
My whole mission at that point was to be a full-time miss…

Words With Friends Life Lessons.....

Words With Friends Life Lessons.....

I noticed while I'm playing words with friends that there have been a few times when I got stuck on a certain word I wanted to play. I'd have most of the letters and I'd play the one or two letters I didn't need waiting for just the right letters to pop up. Or I'd have ALL the letters to make a really great unique word and would pass my turn over and over because I didn't have a spot to use the letters to make this epic word I wanted to make (epic in my mind at least).
So as I'm currently playing a game and have ALL the letters for the word equinox (I've passed three times now waiting for a spot to open up to be able to play my amazing word), I realized that this is a game and it's totally fine to do that because it doesn't really matter if I win or lose the game.
However, in life we can also get stuck on a specific idea or plan or path that we think is the end all be all for our vision of our life. We can p…

You need YOUR armor and NOT theirs!

I saw this saying on someone else’s page and thought how important a message it is.

“You can’t beat YOUR Goliath using somebody else’s armor” ~Tony Evans

In this age where everyone is online sharing their ways to do anything and everything, we can easily start comparing and feeling like we need to do exactly what others have done to reach OUR goals.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great leaders with many useful tools and experience to share.... and we should definitely try to learn lessons from others and grow whenever we can.
BUT WE MUST REMEMBER!! God equipped us each perfectly and uniquely to succeed in the plan and purpose He made us for. We cannot get bogged down in feeling like we must put on someone else’s armor for the battle we are meant to fight.
If you remember the story, David came up to the battle and said he could slay Goliath with God’s help. David was smaller than all the warriors there and Saul said that he should wear armor. Since David didn’t have armor, Saul g…

My journey to know God

As promised, here is a post telling my story of salvation and redemption... my journey to know God!
My mom and dad introduced me to God in a couple ways when I was growing up.... we went to church when I was very young for a little while. Russian Orthodox Church which from my perception was basically chanting and incense. And my dad had an old King James Version bible. We didn't do a lot of talking about God or Jesus or church though I knew what they were in theory. They ALWAYS taught us and reinforced the "Golden Rule". But I didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus or a true understanding of God, His plans and purpose for us, or the Bible.
As a teenager... maybe a little younger actually, I became a rotten rebellious little brat that prided myself on breaking rules and doing everything I knew I shouldn't. I smoked cigarettes, drank alcohol and even did drugs 😖. I spent ages 10-17 years old living life this way & all the while unbeknownst to myself I w…

Happy New Year 2018

Happy New Year!!!!
Wow, I can’t believe it’s already 2018!!!
As we ring in this New Year, my  heart’s biggest desire and hope is that we are each drawn closer EVERY SINGLE DAY of this new year to the Lord and His will for our lives. I am believing that God will shine His light on each step for us, so clearly and vividly that we can’t walk one step out of place of His ordained path for us!!
Thank you God for all the amazing blessings we experienced in 2017!! And thank you for the prayers answered!! Some prayers have been answered for us and we see and know how the answer has worked out and some prayers have answers on the way that we haven’t seen the fruit of yet. I’m excited to see those answers that are already on their way and just haven’t fully manifested themselves in our lives.
I’m so very thankful that God cares so much for each of us that He brings the best into our lives. I’ve met so many amazing people this year and have had so many wonderful experiences!! God has been so f…

Hello and WELCOME!!!

Hi there everyone!!!  Welcome to my new blog and new adventure....  My name is Dasha and I am The Oily Missionary!!
Let me start by telling you just a bit about myself and my journey. I am 38 years old and love the Lord!! I gave my heart to Jesus many, many years ago and am so thankful for the changes He has made in me and my life over the last two decades. I will share my entire testimony in another blog post when I get a chance to write it all out... but for today, just know that my heart behind everything I do is to share the love of Jesus and to make His glory known to all!! It is so important to me that others see how AWESOME and WONDERFUL God’s Love is for us and how much His presence can change your life for the BEST!!
One of my biggest passions in life is missions! I was blessed to go on my first mission trip in 2013 and my life and heart were FOREVER CHANGED!!! For one amazing week, myself and a group of friends from my church worked at an orphanage in Guatemala. We did bui…
